ERIH Investment’s Sustainable Energy Technologies Fund (SETF) has been selected to be granted by 20 % of the fund size. Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Fikri Işık elaborated on the results of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) "1514 Techno-venture Capital Support Program-1" and stated that venture capital is extremely important for the early-stage technology companies. "Regarding the venture capital funds; we shall allocate maximum 15 million TL over a ratio of 20% of the overall funds. 16 project applications have been filed for the 2013 Call for Proposals. 2 fund managers and 6 candidates for fund managers have been supported so far. This program is unique in the world for it shall pave the way for the establishment of 6 new funds. The overall amount undertaken by the accepted proposals is 430 million TL. TÜBİTAK contribution shall be 86 million TL at maximum". Minister Işık stated that Gözde GSYO AŞ and TRPE Venture Capital are two fund managers and that the fund candidates are Anka Capital Management, Angelwings Ventures, Ekin, Erih Finansal Hizmetler AŞ, Ida Capital and Profectus. After his successful first commercial year in the Turkish market, Tech-Sen's focus has expanded to global markets in order to reach fifty per cent export turn-over by 2016. With-in this respect, Tech-Sen's first orders from Germany and Italy has been fulfilled and proved that the technology behind is reliable and trustable. Ibrahim Yesildal, Teknam's Chairman, stated that "After the completion of the remaining few international certifications, Tech-Sen will be able to reach his targets in the short run. Ibrahim added that" As having 7/24 ongoing R&D culture in the company, we will be adding rain and snow sensing products to Tech-Sen's product portfolio by the end of 2014 which will enable to double the turn-over in two years only.
myclimate Turkiye and Istanbul Bilgi University as the environment, energy, and sustainability research center (Çevre, Enerji ve Sürdürülebilirlik Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi "ÇES") joined forces under the sponsorship of İstanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (İKMİB) to emphasize the power of education and fight against the climate change in the year 2011. For the scope of this project several cities have been visited and 2 cities ahead within this education semester.
myclimate Turkey and CES believe that environmental trainings will lead public to be informed about the fight with the climate change, therefore as the outcome of this project, the sensitivity regarding the climate change among society is expected to increase.
The project will strengthen the climate change protection starting from the South Anatolia and travel all over Turkey in this brand new period. The aim of this project is to inform the primary school students, teachers, and housewives through lectures and workshops.
This project continues by travelling 5 different provinces in Turkey every year, and will generalize the idea of fight against climate change. The project is going to be organized during the 5 consecutive years.
